Greetings from the Principal, Mrs. Mary Edwards:
At General Amherst High School, we have a rich tradition of academic excellence and student success. We offer a variety of programs and services to meet the learning needs of all students. In addition to a regular high school curriculum, we offer a Specialist High Skills Major Program, Co-operative Education and an Ontario Youth Apprenticeship Program.

We are very proud of our students' academic achievement. We traditionally score very well on the Gr. 9 EQAO Provincial Assessment of Mathematics and on the Ontario Secondary School Literacy Test. Many of our grade 12 graduates earn scholarships, awards and bursaries to Colleges and Universities across Ontario and North America. In addition to academics, we offer and wide variety of extracurricular activities, including championship athletic teams. Our students, staff and coaches are proud of their achievement in each of these areas. I hope you will take the opportunity to join at least one of our clubs or sports teams.
