The mill child would stand all day and then come home too tired to eat the food their money would buy.*	Boys worked in West Virginia coal mines. Photo circa. 1908.*	Children worked at the looms in textile factories. Long days lead to many injuries. Even younger children were employed to crawl under the operating machines so they would not have to be stopped for maintenance.*
